Manipulation of Cuban Reality Denounced in Canada

Ottawa, Sep 8. -Friends of Cuba in Montreal have denounced the way in which some Canadian mass media presents the island's reality through a series of negative opinions.Writer Arnold August said in a message sent to Prensa Latina that this conduct is not casual, as it is in tune "with the United States current policy of applying to other countries the model of aggression used by NATO against Libya."

Some Canadian radio stations, such as Radio-Canada, present the Cuban issues with the same distortion as the Miami media does, August said.

They are currently divulging news items saying that there is repression in Cuba, said the writer, who filed a complaint with his disagreement to media editors.

August also referred to a report on the Cuban television Wednesday night that presented evidence to decry the alleged harassment against the small subversive group Ladies in White. (Prensa Latina)
