Rebel Attacks Cause Casualties in Afghanistan

Kabul, Aug 30. -Rebel attacks have reportedly caused more than 100 casualties to the Hamid Karzai regime.Two rebels drove bomb-loaded trucks and ran them into military facilities in the cities of Chawni and Baba Sahih, in the province of Kandahar.According to a local press report, the number of victims was close to 130, including dead and injured people.

Afghan rebels, in the past 48 hours, launched 43 attacks against military posts in the cities of Babaji, Terenkot, Nimroz, and Lashkargah, resulting in an undetermined number of dead and injured people.

August was the deadliest month for the NATO forces occupying Afghanistan, with 81 casualties, only lower than July of 2010 (88). (Prensa Latina)
