Cuba committed to new Constitution despite harsh US blockade

Havana, Oct 6.- Cuba continues to apply what is established in its new Constitution, despite the harsh measures of the US blockade against Cuba.

As stated by the Vice President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Ana María Mari Machado, in reference to the extraordinary session of the legislative body called for October 10, the candidates to high-ranking posts will be elected, including that of the President of the Republic.

Mari Machado affirmed that compliance with the Constitution in complex situations leads to a demonstration of unity, firmness, stability and compliance and adherence to the law.

She noted that amid a difficult international situation for Cuba, nothing hinders compliance with the Constitution, and important political processes are being conducting with normality. (Prensa Latina)
