Documentary Film Recalls Cuban Heroine Vilma Espin

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 22. -A documentary film dedicated to Cuban heroine Vilma Espin was launched in Havana on Wednesday with testimonies of Chilean Mireya Baltra, who was part of the government led by former president Salvador Allende, according to Radio Havana Cuba.

In the documentary, the Chilean sociologist and reporter tells about the first time she met Vilma back in December 1959, when an official Cuban delegation visited Santiago de Chile.

She recalls her friendly relationship with Vilma, who led the Federation of Cuban Women for many years.(acn)
