Madrid, Oct 2. -Authentic Cuba tourist caravan travels to Portugal, after its auspicious presentations in five Spanish cities (Bilbao, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Madrid and Salamanca), where it showed Cuba´s novelties for the winter season 2011-2012.Authentic Cuba, is an international initiative of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) of the Caribbean nation to show its attractive recreational industry, It began last Monday until next October 6.
The traditional promotional campaign will be presented on Monday in Coimbra to hotels representatives, travel agencies, tour operators and airlines working with Cuba, which has become in less than a decade the third Caribbean destination.
Oporto, known worldwide for the wine that bears his name, will be the caravan´s second stop on Portuguese lands, before moving to La Coruña on Wednesday, northern Spanish town that belongs to the autonomous community of Galicia.
The presentations involve different hotel chains: Iberostar, Sandals, Meliá, Barceló, Hoteles C and Sirenis; Air Europa, Iberia and Cubana airlines, and several tour operators.
The entire journey takes place on a bus that rolls from town to town like a mobile billboard. (Prensa Latina)
