Experts from Nine Countries to Alzheimer Congress in Cuba

Havana, Sep 9. -Neurologists, psychiatrists, and psychologists from nine countries will take part in the 5th Ibero-American Congress of Alzheimer, dedicated to the prevention and control of this disease.Experts from the Dominican Republic, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Cuba, will represent Latin America in this event, to be held from October 20 to 22 at Havana's Conference Center.

Representatives of Spain, the United Kingdom, and the UNited States will also attend the Congress.

Topics such as Epidemiology and the global impact of dementias, their early diagnose, and an approach to the light cognitive impairment therapy are included in the Congress' agenda.

Round tables focused on the genetics and environmental differences in the dementias among countries and regions, as well as family-oriented programs.

The 5th Ibero-American Congress of Alzheimer is sponsored by the International Federation and the Cuban Section of that disease. (Prensa Latina)
