Cuban Women Train in Germany for World Judo Championships Havana, Aug 13. – Cuba's women judo team has been training in Germany since August 8 for the World Championships to be held in Paris on August 23-28. In remarks to the Cuban News Agency from the German city of Speyer, head coach Ronaldo Veitia said the training is going well, aimed at achieving a good performance.

The team includes Kaliema Antomachin (48 kg), Yanet Bermoy (52), Yurisleidis Lupetey (57), Maricet Espinosa (63), Onix Cortes (70), Yalennis Castillo (78) and Idalis Ortiz (+78).

Veitia said that on August 20 they will return to France, where they had been on training base in the cities of Chateau Gutier and Misterstein, and start training again in Contraseville and Paris on August 20, two days prior to the championships.

Organizers expect the presence of 900 judokas from 120 countries, including 28 French athletes, with individual contest to be held on August 23-27 and team competition on August 28.
