Mexican Senator: Free the Cuban 5

Mexican Senator: Free the Cuban 5Mexico, Mar 14. -The five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly imprisoned in the United States are an example of dignity, strengthen, love and principles, values that are missing today, stated Yeikol Polenski, senator for the PRD (Partido de la Revolucion Democratica).

"We do not have right to rest, or to stop the struggle for the release of Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez and Rene Gonzalez, because they are heroes in Latin America and worldwide," Polenski said in exclusive remarks to Prensa Latina.

Polenski called for using social networks to inform people about what the U.S. government is capable of doing to attack not only Cuba, but also any countries where it can take away something for its own benefit, such as oil.

Polenski reiterated that the case of the Five is the height of aberration, because by denying them a fair trial and access to documents for their defense, the U.S. government violated all international principles and laws and those of its own country.

The legislator stated that the Mexican Senate sent a letter demanding the immediate release of the five Cuban antiterrorists. (Prensa Latina)
