Congress of Solidarity with Cuba Opens in BoliviaLa Paz, Oct 2. -The 10 Congress of Solidarity with Cuba opens on Saturday in the Bolivian city of Oruro, as part of the campaign to free the five Cubans imprisoned in the United States.

Participants to the two-day event will call for the lifting of the blockade by the United States against Cuban people for almost half a century.

According to the organizers, members of Bolivian Solidarity Movement with Cuba, alumni of the Indian territory and Cuban and Venezuelan cooperators will take part in the event.

The new executive direction of the solidarity movement and the venue of the coming congress will be elected on Saturday.

Delegates from neighboring countries will attend Sunday's session. They will contribute to present Declaration of Solidarity with Cuba, Bolivia and Latin American nations.

The inaugural challa (Aymara ceremony) was chaired by Cuban Ambassador Rafael Dausa and other members of Cuban diplomatic corps in Bolivia. (Prensa Latina)
