Iran,Brazil to Play Friendly Soccer Match

Tehran, Sep 27. -The soccer teams of Brazil and Iran are to play their first ever friendly soccer match October 6-7, Iranian Football Federation spokesman Abad Turabian announced.

Turabian said the match, which will be played in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, will help the national team prepare for the Asian Cup in January.

Ties between Iran and Brazil have improved in all areas in recent months.

Germany was the last World Champion to visit Tehran in 2004. (Prensa Latina)
