Dayron Robles to Return to Track in London Havana, Jul 22. – Cuban hurdler Dayron Robles will return to the track in London for an August 13-14 meet, according to Esteban Brice, Cuba''s national athletics commissioner.

Robles, Olympic champion and 110m hurdles world record holder, will appear again in the next meeting of the IAAF Diamond League after a number of days without competing.

The commissioner said the athlete would return to Cuba on Tuesday and then travel to Guantanamo province to join his family.

According to his coach, Santiago Antunez, Dayron is not injured but has pain in his legs because of his flat feet.

Robles achieved his best time of the season on July 7 in Lausanne, Switzerlandm with 13.01 seconds. He also won competitions in Turin, Reims and Ostrava.

Robles, 23, did not compete in the Paris Diamond League meet, and the Cuban Athletics Federation announced he would not compete tomorrow in Monaco.

In August last year, Robles also left the competition in the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, because of discomfort in his left leg, which prevented him from competing for the gold and compelled him to return to Cuba.(Prensa Latina)
