Cuban President Arrives in Antigua and Barbuda for CARICOM Summit

The meeting, which will be held tomorrow in the parish of Saint Mary, will serve to structure a common agenda that advocates a new fair international order, solidarity, integration and trade.

Sources from the Cuban Foreign Ministry recently affirmed that the Cuban delegation will make clear its will to promote integration, cooperation, and development in the meeting with the other 14 Caribbean States.

The 45th anniversary of relations between CARICOM and Cuba was celebrated yesterday in Havana.

On December 8, 1972, the leaders of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago made the decision to join to create – through the establishment of diplomatic relations with Cuba – a formal space that would focus on the common concerns of these developing states.(Prensa Latina)
