[:es]Cuban Foreign Minister Welcomes Hungarian Counterpart[:]

[:es]Havana, Nov 10.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez received his Hungarian counterpart, Péter Szijjárttó, here, to whom he expressed the interest to continue developing bilateral ties.

From the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, the Cuban minister commented that the recent agreements adopted in the fields of Higher Education and Culture were going in the right direction.

He noted that there are areas of mutual interest such as trade, education and called for further intensification.

The Foreign Affairs Minister thanked Hungary for its contribution in the development of links between Cuba and the European Union (EU).

In this regard, he indicated that the provisional entry into force of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement with the EU-based block in Brussels was important.

He also appreciated the ratification of the document by the Hungarian authorities.

In turn, the Minister Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, said that the greatest form of collaboration was the people-to-people contacts.

Szijjárttó expressed the interest of contributing to the economic development of Cuba in the near future, for which reason it was accompanied by a broad commercial delegation with emphasis on the industrial branch.

The Hungarian foreign minister arrived on the island this Wednesday on an official visit. (PL)[:]
