Dominican Republic and China Boost Cultural Ties

Santo Domingo, Aug 31.- The Guangzhou Acrobatic Ballet will perform at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo on September 6 as part of the cultural exchange between China and the Dominican Republic.

According to the president of the house of higher learning, Mateo Aquino Febrillet, quoted by the press, this event will also mark the flourishing ties between the two nations at the academic level.

Gao Shoujian, representative of the Office of Commercial Development for the Asian nation, agreed with Febrillet and referred to the interest of establishing links with the oldest university in America.

He said this ballet is known worldwide and had successful performances in Latin American nations like Panama and Costa Rica. (Radio Cadena Agramonte)
