Freedom for the Cuban Five Demanded in Sri Lanka

Havana, Cuba, Aug 7.- The People’s Liberation Front of Sri Lanka (JVP) joined the world campaign demanding the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters held in the U.S. since 1998 after issuing a declaration condemning the inhumane treatment give to those prisoners by US authorities.

The Central Committee of the Front published its declaration on its monthly magazine Red Power, in reference to Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino and Antonio Guerrero, internationally known as the Cuban Five.
