Over 500 Paraguayan Youths Study in Cuba

Asuncion, Mar 22. – More than 500 Paraguayan youths are studying, mainly medicine, in Cuba, the Association of Parents of those students stated in this capital.

Humberto Muñoz, president of the Association, told Prensa Latina that they are part of a group of more than 1,200 Paraguayans who have received scholarships since 2000 to receive professional training in Cuba.

Some 41 Paraguayan students will return home on early Friday, after concluding their studies successfully, including 18 students who graduated as doctors in medicine with honors due to their excellence.

Another group of 94 Paraguayan students will graduate in July, including 83 physicians. The others are majoring in Pedagogy, Music and Arts, Physical Education and Sports, and Civil Engineering.(Prensa Latina)
