Over 300 Youths Make Up National Network on Sex Orientation

Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Feb 16. – Over 300 young people have joined the National Network on Sex Orientation set up last year, it was reported on Thursday at the National Workshop on Sexuality and Youth, taking place in this central Cuban province.

The event, sponsored by the Orientation Center for Youths, Adolescents and Family in Sancti Spiritus, and will end on Saturday under the slogan "A look at the action: young people as protagonists in sex education in the processes of transformation and social development".

The debates and lectures are attended by specialist from the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX), the Cuban Multidisciplinary Society for the Study of Sexuality and the National Center for Studies on Youth.

About 100 young people in this city have joined the National Network on Sex Orientation, which bears the slogan: Young Variety and Diversity, a Partnership Designed by CENESEX.

The society, as a communication strategy, accepts people regardless of their race, gender, religion, educational level, and it only demands respect for free and responsible sexual orientation.(Prensa Latina)
