Nicaragua Sets Pro-Caribbean Government Team

Managua, Dec 18. -The government of Nicaragua formed a task force to strengthen cooperation relations with the Caribbean, whose first mission will leave for Haiti on Friday, according to Sandinista leader Rosario Murillo.Under the instructions of President Daniel Ortega, the group will carry out various tasks and will be headed by Commander Lumberto Campbell and Deputy Foreign Minister for Cooperation Valdrack Jaentschke.

The visit to Haiti is intended to produce arrangements and agreements that will help us to strengthen partnership programs "learning from successful experiences among our peoples", Murillo said.

The coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council stated that the new government team will be permanent and its first delegation will be joined by Agriculture Minister Ariel Bucardo and Deputy Minister of Finance Ivan Acosta. (Prensa Latina)
