Cuba, Surinam Presidents MeetHavana, May 26. -Cuban President Raul Castro held talks in Havana with President Desire Delano Bouterse of Surinam, who is winding up an official visit on Thursday.

The two statesmen reviewed the state of bilateral relations, and expressed their willingness to strengthen links between both states.

They also analyzed other regional and international issues.

Prior to the meeting, the Surinamese president, accompanied by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, paid tribute to Cuban national hero Jose Marti.

Delano Bouterse, who arrived in this country on Tuesday, highlighted the excellent state of relations with Cuba, and his country's interest in fostering collaboration with the Caribbean island. (Prensa Latina)
