French Activists: Obama, Free the Cuban FiveParis, Apr 6. -A letter from Bearn, in the Atlantic Pyrenees, and expressions of solidarity in Arras and Paris are among the recent activities in France to free .

The letter, sent to U.S. President Barack Obama by retired professor Jacquelin Roussie, demands the immediate release of Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, and Rene Gonzalez, universally known as the Cuban Five.

Roussie, a member of the Committee to Free the Five, is active in raising international awareness on the issue and is now asking the U.S. president for justice.

Members of groups of Cuba and Latin America solidarity and friendship groups are also denouncing the injustice committed against the Five.

They have been serving harsh sentences in U.S. jails for the last 12 years for trying to prevent terrorist actions against the island. (Prensa Latina)
