Guinea-Bissau President on First Official Visit to CubaHavana, Aug 28. -Guinea-Bissau President Malam Bacai Sanha begins on Saturday his first official visit to Cuba, where he will meet with Cuban President Raul Castro to broaden bilateral ties.

The Bissau-Guinean leader visited Cuba in 1996 when he headed his country''s People''s National Assembly. His country established diplomatic relations with Cuba in October 1973.

On this occasion, the president is traveling accompanied by advisors Soares Sambu, minister of State for Political and Diplomatic Affairs; Angelo Agusto Regalla, minister of State and presidential spokesman, as well as other officials.

According to the official program, the statesman will lay wreaths at the monument to Cuban national hero Jose Marti, the Cuban internationalists who died during their missions in Africa, and to Africa's national heroes. (Prensa Latina)
