Cuba to Attend International Tourism Fair BIT Milan 2019

Havana, Feb 9 .-Cuba will attend the International Tourism Fair BIT Milan 2019, to be held from February 10 to 12, in Italy, to boost trips to Cuba from visitors from that region.

 

According to the statement released by the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (MINTUR), the Cuban delegation, during the event, will promote new products and modalities existing in the national market, such as diving, sailing, tours, heritage cities, events and incentives, cultural and health tourism.

The Cuban delegation will be chaired by the Director General of Marketing of the MINTUR, Barbara Cruz and the travel agencies Cubatur and Havanatur, the hotel chains Cubanacan and Gran Caribe and the companies Iberostar, Barcelo, Melia, Accor, and Blue Diamonds will be present.

The Italian market, the report added, continues to be of great importance for national tourism and last year reached the figure of 177,548 visitors in its emission to Cuban destination.

The event will also be an opportunity to invite attendees to the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair FITCuba 2019, to be held from May 6 to 11 in Havana, as part of the 500 Anniversary of its foundation, the statement revealed. (Prensa Latina)
