Casa de las Americas Literary Prize to be Awarded in Cuba
The awards are divided into the following genres: novel, poetry, essays on social-historical themes, literature for children and young people, Brazilian literature and studies on Latinos in the United States.
In addition to the prizes in its different sections, it will deliver the already traditional honorific recognitions in essay, narrative and poetry.
During the event, the books awarded in 2018 were presented and magistral conferences were held on topics related to the development of literature in the region.
As part of the collateral activities, the exhibition Popular Art from Peru was opened in the Latin American gallery of Casa and the concert for harp and voice by the Mexican artist Veronica Valerio took place. (Prensa Latina)
