Bolivian Arts Exhibit on the Cuban Five

Bolivian Arts Exhibit on the Cuban FiveHavana, Cuba, Sept 5.- A visual arts exhibit titled “End of the Injustice” was opened in the Bolivian capital La Paz, September 5, on the life of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the US since 1998.

The initiative, organized by the local culture office and the Cuban embassy in La Paz, coincides with the 14th anniversary of the incarceration of Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Gerardo Hernandez and Rene Gonzalez, internationally known as the Cuban Five, PL news agency reported.

The antiterrorist Cubans were arrested in US territory after they monitored plans against the island designed by US-based ultra-right organizations. Their activity helped thwart numerous actions, including the smuggling of weapons and the bombing of civilian planes in mid air, and even attempts against main leaders of the Cuban Revolution.
