Former CIA Spies Accuse Obama of Leaking Secret Information

Former CIA Spies Accuse Obama of Leaking Secret InformationWashington, Aug 16.- A group of former special operations and Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A) officials and spies accused US President Barack Obama of leaking information about the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.

The new group, called the Special Operations Education Fund, said that President Obama also recklessly leaked information about other security matters to gain political advantage, reported The New York Times daily today.

The group, using shorthand for "operational security, (Opsec)" describes itself as non-partisan, but some of its leaders have been involved in Republican campaigns and Tea Party groups.

Chad Kolton, who was the spokesman for the director of national intelligence in the George W. Bush administration, now represents the Opsec group.

Kolton said the group had raised nearly $1 million USD since June and intends to run television advertisements in key states for November elections.

A 22-minute video featured on its Web site appears to be aimed squarely at the president, echoing charges made previously by Mitt Romney and other Republicans.

The Opsec site goes after Obama’s perceived strong points on national security, specifically his role in overseeing the military-Central Intelligence Agency raid that killed Bin Laden,in May 2011.

The Obama campaign immediately compared the effort to the advertisements against Senator John Kerry in the 2004 presidential campaign. (Radio Cadena Agramonte)
