Book on Jose Marti’s Family Life Presented in Bolivia

Book on Jose Marti’s Family Life Presented in Bolivia Havana, Cuba, Aug 10.- Cuban writer Froilan Gonzalez presented on Thursday, at the Book Fair in La Paz, the text “Creciente Agonia” (Growing Suffering), an approach to the family life of Cuba’s National Hero Jose Marti.

The text, written by him and his wife, Adys Cupull, depicts moments of the lives of Marti’s parents and the suffering of a family of Spanish origin, faithful to the crown, with respect to a son who dreamt, since he was very little, about the freedom of the country where he was born on January 28, 1853, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.

The ceremony to present “Creciente Agonia,” held at the Club of Army Officers in the southern area of La Paz, was preceded by the screening of the 26-minute documentary El Rescate, (The Rescue), which focuses on the departure for Chile of the survivors of Che’s guerrilla.

Shortly after the presentation of the book, attended by Cuba’s ambassador to Bolivia, Rolando Gomez, Gonzalez commented that he’s now working on another book on the life of Marti –“Por los caminos reales”, which will be launched in Havana at the beginning of 2013, recreating the situation in each of the places visited by the Apostle.
