Camagüey Provides New Sports and Physical Culture ProfessionalsCamagüey, Jul 20.- The provincial faculty of the Manuel “Piti” Fajardo University of Sciences for Physical Activity and Sport graduated 752 new professionals in a ceremony that took place in Camagüey's Principal Theater.

The majority of the new graduates will become teachers and coaches of Recreation, Physical Culture and Therapeutic sport in the network of schools and sports centers along the province.

The first subsidiary in the countryside of this institution was created in Camaguey, which now gets to its 32nd graduation. All these years educating specialists have contributed to the award-winning of several Camagüey-born people in national and international championships.

Just to mention a few examples, this was the Cuban province that provided the largest number of prizes to the Cuban delegation in the last Pan-American Games; the third regarding the number of athletes going to London 2012 and one of the provincies with better possibilities of granting medals to Cuba in this de dar medallas a Cuba en esta Olympic event, as stated by Dr. Rubén Martínez Puig, a teacher in this academic institution.

During the graduation ceremony, 36 students who got Degree with Honors were recognized. The most relevant student in the Faculty was Maridalsy Usatorres Vinent, from the municipality of Nuevitas and member of the provincial basketball team, who was also the best graduate in Research and Culture.
