Correa Expresses Solidarity with Cuba against U.S. boycott Ankara, Mar 15. – Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa announced on Thursday his refusal to participate in the Summit of the Americas, scheduled for April in Cartagena, Colombia, to protest against the U.S. stance to exclude Cuba.

Speaking to the press in Turkey, Correa said he would not attend these summits, which are deprived of debates on the Latin American peoples' problems.

During the latest meeting of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas, the Ecuadorian leader expressed the bloc's idea to refuse to attend the 6th Summit of the Americas if the ban on Cuba continued.

Correa is paying a working visit to Turkey, where he plan to sign several agreements in the areas of tourism, environment, culture and education, as well as a framework for cooperation.(Prensa Latina)
