Dutch Musician Talks of His Participation in Drum FestivalHavana, Mar 8. – Dutch pianist Mike del Ferro, who is on his first visit to Cuba, expressed joy for participating in the 2012 Drum Festival, being held until March 11 in this capital.

"One of my greatest aspirations lately was to visit this island and exchange with world-famous Cuban musicians, so I feel very happy," Del Ferro told Prensa Latina.

The internationally-acclaimed composer and musical arranger stated that Cuba is the 96th country he visits, and he expects to comply with the program during the festival, including concerts and workshops.

According to critics, Del Ferro knows how to combine elements of western music with the courage of jazz improvisation.

Mike del Ferro is one of the foreign musicians who are attending the Drum Festival, along with U.S. drummer Johnatan Mover, Chilean composer Rodrigo Iter, and Aldo Mazza, director of Kosa Company.(Prensa Latina)
