Trinidad &Tobago for Stronger Cultural Links with Cuba

Havana, Dec 22. -Artists from Trinidad and Tobago are interested in strengthening cultural relations with Cuba, said Ambassador to Havana Jennifer Jones."They want to come and exchange different art expressions with Cubans, and also want Cuban artists to do the same in Trinidad and Tobago," said Jones in exclusive remarks to Prensa Latina.

The diplomat announced that during her visit to her country this month she has a packed full work agenda, not only aimed at strengthening cultural relations, but also the links in health, education and tourism.

She described as unvaluable Cuba´s achievements in human training.

"Young people from Trinidad Tobago bring another view of life when they return to our country after doing studies in Cuba," she said.

Jones highlighted the mix of different cultures in Cuba, which she considered good for the Caribbean graduates.

Asked how her country is preparing for the next International Book Fair Havana 2012, dedicated to the Caribbean region, Jones said some writers have expressed their interest in exhibiting their work here.

She termed significant the launcing t his year in Havana of the second edition of ArteSur magazine of ALBA cultural project.

ALBA currently groups Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia and Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Brabuda, Ecuador, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Jennifer Jones, who is also a member of the movement of solidarity with Cuba, confirmed her love for Cuban culture, mainly its music. (Prensa Latina)
