U.S. Religious Leader Visits Cuba

Havana, Nov 30. -U.S. religious leader Michael Kinnamon is carrying out an extensive agenda in this capital, including a meeting with relatives of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters condemned to long sentences in the United States.Regarding the case of Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez, sentenced after infiltrating violent groups working in Miami with impunity against Cuba, the general secretary of the Council of Church of Christ in the USA described it as a major iossue in which it is very involved.

During a meeting with journalists at the Latin American School of Medicine on Tuesday, Kinnamon expressed disagreement with the sentences imposed on the antiterrorists.

Kinnamon and his accompanying delegation also expect to attend an ecumenical event.

The religious leader already met with Cuban People's Power National Assembly (Parliament) President Ricardo Alarcon. (Prensa Latina)
