Members of Occupy LA Face Eviction

Washington, Nov 28. -Members of the group Occupy LA (OLA) are facing on Monday a warrant issued by the authorities of that city, who marked the Monday as the deadline for protesters to leave their camp.OLA, which has been camped outside the Mayor's Office of the State of California for over a month and a half to protest against the social injustice and the economic situation of the country, determined to reject the legislation.

To achieve their objective, since past Friday, the protesters demanded authorities to respect their rights to free expression.

On Sunday, members of the police walked through the around 500 tents set up by members of the Movement, reminding them that their time there was limited.

The group is part of Occupy Wall Street (OWS), created last September 17 in New York to demand the Obama's administration some measures favoring the working class, severely affected by the economic crisis.

OWS has spread through the main U.S. cities crossing the borders to settle in Canada, where demonstrations demand the reduction of bank taxes in several provinces. (Prensa Latina)
