China’s First Space Lab Module Tiangong-1 Without Mishaps

Beijing, Oct 7. -China's first space lab module Tiangong-1, located now at 362 kilometers from the Earth, successfully accomplishes its mission and has good conditions, sources linked to the project reported.All the tests carried out to the remote control system, video and audio equipments and to temperature and humidity sensors have been successful, according to a communiqué released on Friday by the press.

Tiangong-1, also known as Heavenly Palace, was launched on September 29 from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and has orbited around the Earth 109 times.

Preparations to launch unmanned Shenzhou-8 spacecraft, which will dock with the lab this year, are underway. (Prensa Latina)
