Cuban President Attends Parliament Session Havana, Aug 1. – President Raul Castro on Monday is attending the seventh session of the seventh legislature of the National Assembly of People''s Power at Havana´s International Conference Center.

After four days of debate in commissions, the lawmakers plan to vote on an initiative relating to the authorities of the newly-formed provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque.

The National Assembly also will vote on the 2010 budget performance report and hear about the implementation of the Economic Plan for the first half of 2011.

They will also support and approve the economic and social policy guidelines approved at the 6th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party in April, and hear about the implementation of decisions made at the congress.(Prensa Latina)
