After the official welcoming ceremony held in Havana, Raul Castro and Humala met and discussed the current state of relations between Cuba and Peru, Cuba's nightly TV news program reported on Tuesday.

The two leaders also analyzed regional and international issues.

Cuban First Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also attended the meeting.

Afterward, Humala returned to Lima. He takes office on July 28. (Prensa Latina)
