Peru President-elect Satisfied with SouthAm TourLima, Jun 16. -President-elect Ollanta Humala said the first stage of his South American tour, with visits to Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, was satisfactory and productive for integration.

"The meetings with those heads of State, with whom I made progresses in the treatment of bilateral agendas and made diverse proposals, have been important," Humala said after arriving from Chile.

The tour was aimed at emphasizing Peruvian integration with other regional countries, the president-elect noted.

Humala, elected on June 5, stated that as part of a second trip, he plans to visit Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia.

Humala returned to Peru after the national election processes office (Onpe) concluded counting all ballots from the presidential election and confirmed his victory. (Prensa Latina)
