Uruguay to Host Documentary FestivalMontevideo, Jun 3. -The presentation of serials in the production stage and a larger number of TV, film and animation materials will be the new offerings in the Third Edition of DocMontevideo set for July 20-29.

The President of the organizing committee, Luis González Zaffaroni, said in a press conference that the event will facilitate the access of films for competition in similar events in Argentina, Spain, Switzerland and other nations.

González Zaffaroni told Prensa Latina that more than a hundred representatives of South Africa, the United States and Europe will attend the event.

U.S. Claire Aguilar, Vice President of Independent Television Service, the Spanish academic Marta Andreu and Brazilian filmmaker Joao Moreira Salles are among the personalities to attend the event.

The organizing committee also planned the presentation of short films for free.

This international documentary festival seeks to build bridges between independent organizations and producers to encourage the construction of networks, cooperation and business in Latin America. (Prensa Latina)
