Omara Portuondo and Chucho Valdes Ready for European Tour

Havana, Apr 15. -Cuban musicians Omara Portuondo and Chucho Valdes are set to start a European tour in May to market their new CD, Omara & Chucho, featuring Latin American classics.

The duo will perform at the Auditori Del Prat del Roure in Andorra, where songs like Noche Cubana, Esta Tarde Te Vi Llover, and Alma Mia will be played with the participation of US jazz player Wynston Marsalis.

The Omara & Chucho tour also includes stages like the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, la Philharmonie in Luxemburg, the KKL in Lucerne Switzerland and the Art Club of Imst in Austria.

The Chucho & Omara album was recorded in Havana in 2010 and is a declaration of the mutual love, admiration and respect between these two Cuban music greats.

The two Grammy Award winners also worked together in 1997 on the CD Desafios. (Prensa Latina)
