Russia Remembers Cuban Revolutionary StruggleMoscow, Mar 16. -Professors and students from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia participated in political-cultural events in this capital, to recall the history of struggle and traditions in Cuba, diplomatic sources reported Wednesday.

These events are part of Cuba Week at the universityand were also attended by Cuban embassy officials.

The activitiesincluded meetings with youth, teachers and professors, and the screening of interesting video footage on Cuban contemporary art. Also on the list was a Roberto Chile documentary about photos of the revolutionary struggle through the eyes of Alberto Korda, whose photo of guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara is the most-reproduced in Cuban photo history.

The growing demand to immediately release the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly imprisoned in the United States, and to end the U.S. blockade on Cuba were also debated by students in those activities.

Students also staged an exhibition with posters, pamphlets and stamps to honor the Five, as Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and Gerardo Hernandez are universally known.

Students from Cuba, Latina America and other countries worldwide also attended the meeting. (Prensa Latina)
