France-Cuba Association Marks 50th Anniversary Paris, Feb 10. – The France-Cuba Association celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday with renewed displays of friendship and solidarity, and the commitment to support the Caribbean country's cause of independence and sovereignty.

In a report issued in this capital, the president of the France-Cuba Association, Andre Minier, highlighted the tenacious and patient work carried out to tell the truth about the Cuban Revolution over the last 50 years.

"It has been five decades of struggle against the U.S. blockade on Cuba and media manipulation, in defense of the Cuban people, and for the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States," said Minier.

The president said the battle has been long and hard, but is still necessary, and Cuba will always have the unwavering support of his association.

Minier recalled the spontaneous and selfless efforts of many French people over time since the founding of the France-Cuba Association on February 10, 1961, at the Mutualité of Paris cultural center.(Prensa Latina)
