Informatica 2011 Enters 2nd Day Havana, Feb 8. – Participants at the 14th International Informatics Convention and Fair in Cuba, Informatica 2011, continue on Tuesday their discussions and display of new technologies. Experts from more than 100 companies from 16 countries are attending the event.

The Executive Secretary Eviel Ramos said the event is an opportunity to reorient the country's efforts towards the replacement of imports introducing scientific advances through the comprehensive projects.

Among the main attractions is the exhibition hall Panorama of the ICT in Cuba, which shows 23 projects of research and innovation, said the specialist.

The event is an ideal space to show the new projects, equipment and systems in the universe of solutions and applications, he said.

Taking into account the convention's competitive basis, it will award in two categories: stand design and product quality.

Dedicated to converging technologies, integration and independence, the fair is attended by specialists from Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Panama, Spain, Canada, Sweden, Russia, Germany and South Korea.

The 14th International Informatics Convention and Fair Informática 2011 is sponsored by 27 organizations with China's Haier to the head, the International Telecommunication Union, UNESCO and the Pan American Health Organization.(Prensa Latina)
