Tropical Storm Richard Moves through the Caribbean

Havana, Oct 23. -Tropical Storm Richard was moving slowly through the Caribbean Sea as it headed toward the coasts of Honduras and Nicaragua, the Cuban Meteorology Institute (Insmet) reported.

In the next 24-48 hours, the storm could intensify and become more organized as it gradually moves to the west on Saturday with increased speed, and it is likely to become a hurricane over the weekend, Insmet predicted.

Since the hurricane season started on June 1 in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico, 17 tropical storms have formed, and nine of them have become hurricanes. (Prensa Latina)
