Chavez Stresses Productive Prospects with Cuba Caracas, Jul 23. – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Thursday highlighted prospects for 390 productive projects implemented with Cuba to foster the social and economic development of both countries.

"We have 390 productive projects that go from food to factories and energy," Chavez stated at Miraflores Palace.

According to the statesman, links with the island are aimed at developing several spheres.

This is economic union, Chavez said at a meeting with Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo.

During the ceremony, the culmination of the signing of five Caracas-Georgetown agreements, Chavez commented to the visitor about his country's close ties with Cuba as an example of the possibilities for bringing these sister nations closer.

Other projects with Havana include factories for household goods, food and medicine, the socialist leader stated.(Prensa Latina)
