A woman presides the board of directors of the South Popular CouncilSanta Cruz del Sur, May 31. – The delegates from the South Popular Council have already elected the president and vice-president of this territory in Santa Cruz de Sur.

The constitution act was carried out by 12 representatives of the local body, who proposed Severino Mena as vice-president and ratified Dalia Mesa as president, who held this responsibility during the last term.

This encounter helped to celebrate the first meeting of the Council with the leaders of the Government. Pablo Peribáñez, President of the Local People’s Power assessed the main work directions for this term office, which main objective is the political, ideological, and social work of each delegate in the neighbourhood so as to keep the unity and the defence of the Revolution.
